In a quest to more deeply understand how the Covid-19 pandemic, resultant school closures and the subsequent return to the classroom has affected teaching and learning in California, the nonprofit Inverness Institute followed more than 100 leading teachers across the state over two years.
Through three detailed surveys starting in January 2021, with follow-up surveys in April-May 2021 and March 2022, the research team has created a detailed picture of challenges teachers and their students have faced over the past two years.
In the sections below, you will find an analysis of the survey results as well as EdSource coverage of the findings.
